About Me

I'm Punam, or P, and I'm here to help you make your book release day as successful as possible. I've always loved reading, so it was a given that I would eventually cave and get a Kindle. I loved the world it opened me up to, but soon saw so many amazing books that were published with errors. As I wanted to open a business of my own one day, I wasn't sure what exactly I wanted to do. I just knew I wanted to do something that I enjoyed and could make into a permanent full-time career. One thing led to another, and Lotus Proofreading LLC was officially launched.

I love interacting with authors and am here to support them in any way that I can throughout their writing journey. Whether it's being available for them to rant about their MCs not listening to them, brainstorming ideas, making sure the story flows, or getting manuscripts ready for reviews, I am there for you.

Want to know something else? I'm not perfect. I don't strive to be perfect. I strive to be excellent at what I do, which includes how I interact with you. I'll joke around, hype you up, throw in some sass, but I'm going to be real with you and tell you how it is. If there is a plot hole, I'll tell you. If there is a scene that isn't reading properly, I'll tell you. If I think you need to calm your characters down, I will tell you (usually, I tell you to go crazier, though).

I'm here to take some stress off your shoulders, so don't worry about your manuscript not being perfect. It's not supposed to be. It's supposed to be messy and chaotic. This way, we can work on making it amazing together.

Experience & Education

I have been doing this for years, but I launched Lotus Proofreading LLC and began editing professionally in February 2025. I work with novels, comics, and graphic novels in a number of genres.

I was fortunate enough to have some background in editing, but in order to prepare for fiction editing, I began learning the ins and outs of it. Courses that I have taken are:
